Hi, I’m Jeff Wiggins—owner and master teacher here at The Way of Guitar in Auburn, NY.

If you’re just looking for the cheapest guitar lessons around, This may not be the right fit. But if you want your child to learn in a way that actually builds skill, confidence, and a real love of music—then you’re in the right place.

Teaching guitar in a way that really works has been my obsession for years. To keep growing, I’ve trained through Berklee College of Music, earned advanced certifications, and regularly meet with an international network of top guitar teachers. I also get invited to teach masterclasses for other instructors. My goal with all of this? To make sure my students get the most effective, fun lessons possible.

I’m not telling you this to brag. I’m telling you because I know how much you care about giving your child the right opportunities. And when it comes to music, the right teacher makes all the difference.

Here’s what other families have experienced at The Way of Guitar:

The courage and poise my daughter has learned have been an added bonus to her musical skills. Watching her play on stage and completely rock out tells me that these aren’t just guitar lessons. She is learning to take chances, trust herself and her band mates, and dream big!” Lauren Brewster-Myer (Catie’s Mom)

“Jeff teaches guitar to my son Graeme. Jeff does a terrific job with him and is very patient and easy going. One of the great things is that Graeme is able to choose the songs that he likes to listen to and is interested in learning to play. That certainly makes practice time much more fun and productive. I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone interested in starting guitar or furthering their existing talent!”- Linda (Graeme’s Mom)

My daughter has been a student at The Way of Guitar for a little over a year now and the experience has been fantastic. These are not boring weekly guitar lessons like one would imagine. Jeff (the owner) is a rock star (no pun intended) and has made the whole experience fun and exciting from day one. My daughter was a near complete novice and he had her using an electric guitar from the start. He also incorporates music the students are interested in quickly to keep them excited and motivated to keep playing. Lessons are given based on experience levels and Jeff keeps things fun and interactive, and he helps students get a real rock experience. It’s a fun, low pressure way for students to learn and it works! In addition, Jeff is highly trained not only in guitar but also in teaching others to play. Check out the details on the website to see what I mean. If you are wanting to learn how to play guitar, The Way of Guitar is the way to go.” Greg Herman (Olivia’s Dad)

“My son started taking guitar lessons with Jeff a little over a year ago. He had no prior experience with guitar and has learned so much already. Jeff is a great teacher, easy to talk to, and very patient. It has been a positive experience for Camden and we highly recommend him to others who are looking for guitar lessons.” – Kelly Manley (Camden’s Mom)
This place is awesome. Jeff is so knowledgeable, inspiring and fun that my son always looks forward to his lesson, and comes home excited to jam and demonstrate what he’s learned! Jeff’s understanding and thoughtful nature makes him a wonderful teacher, and we could not be more grateful for the love of learning and connection to music as a result of taking lessons at The Way Of The Guitar ♡!!! Highly recommend 🎸 – H. French (Nolan’s Mom)
